Totnes Pound Update October 2008
Changes to the team
The Totnes Pound has to say a huge Thank You to Noel Longhurst for the considerable efforts he has made, and the time he has put in, for the Totnes Pound project. Unfortunately Noel has now moved away from Totnes for personal reasons but he is very keen to keep up to date with developments.
The Totnes Pound needs your help
We could still do with additional help on the project. There are many roles that could be useful, from chatting with member businesses to helping with the accounts. Many of these would only require a few hours a month.

New leaflets and window stickers
The new leaflet and window stickers are now out. We think that the leaflet is making using the TP much easier; you can tell from a glance at the map which are the participating businesses. Also the

River Link sign up for the Totnes Pound.
After several weeks of discussion we are very please to announce that River Link are signing up to accept Totnes Pounds. What’s more they will be offering a 10% discount on return tickets to Dartmouth that are purchased in Totnes Pounds which they are hoping will encourage local people to use the currency and use their boats for this journey. We also hope to set them up as an exchange point so that they can provide tourists with Totnes Pounds who will then venture into Totnes town centre to spend them.
