What is a TTT project?

We (the core group) feel it is important to ensure that any community project that is ‘branded’ as a TTT project is aligned with TTT’s mission, objectives and ethos. This also applies when a project is run jointly with a partner. We need a means to help ensure this alignment exists, and it seems sensible to propose a set of criteria against which a project proposal can be evaluated, along with a simple approval process. We may decide that different projects are entitled to different levels of project support (from our limited central resource), depending on their nature.

Project proposal process

All project proposals should be submitted through the relevant theme group(s). All project proposals will be referred back to the relevant group if they haven’t come from there already. The group co-ordinators will bring new project proposals to the monthly core group meeting.

Ideally, the Project Proposal Form (which is used to help evaluate objectively whether the core team is happy to give a new project the TTT ‘brand’, funded project support etc.) will already have been completed prior to that meeting, to help ensure all the required info is available for the core group to make a fast decision there and then.

All projects approved by the core group will be added to the central TTT project list and website, and will be entitled to some level of funded project support. The most strategic projects (as agreed by the core group) will get more one-on-one project support – all projects will have the same access to training and materials/online resources.

Project monitoring and reporting

Project leaders will write a monthly update on the project’s homepage on the TTT website, and send a link to the page to TTT admin for inclusion in the monthly bulletin.  The TTT Project Support person will hold a monthly review with the project leaders for strategic projects.

Projects that are not run by TTT

If TTT are involved in a project that is not run in any way by TTT, then that project cannot currently get free project support from TTT due to our resource constraints.

Requests for letters of support

TTT are sometimes asked for letters of support for other organisations’ projects.  We have guidelines about who can get such a letter from TTT – please see Getting a letter of support from TTT.
