Cohousing sub group

About the Totnes Cohousing Group

The Totnes Cohousing group has developed over the last couple of years out of the ashes of the South Devon Cohousing group and an existing small local group. It is currently a voluntary group without a constitution, but with a chairperson, treasurer and membership secretary. It has approximately 50 interested individuals on its e-mailing list, and has monthly meetings which usually attract between 10 and 20 people.

Although many of those involved are interested or actively seeking a cohousing solution to their accommodation needs, the group is not a project group as such. Rather, it aims to facilitate the development of cohousing projects in the Totnes and South Devon area in general and currently focuses on research, including visits to existing and developing cohousing projects, networking and providing a meeting place for people with similar ideas and aspirations. It is hoped and envisaged that specific projects will develop over time, which will develop their own structure and identity, as ideas and enthusiasm morph into tangible outcomes...(more)
